Service Description

At The Resilience Lab, we're committed to fostering confidence, capability, resilience and a continual sense of wonder in the next generation of budding community leaders. That's why we've spent considerable time and energy crafting specialty programmes for school-aged kids. We base all our teaching around interactive, stimulating games and exercises that keep everyone interested, motivated and safe. The programmes are fun, engaging and jam-packed with skills specifically designed to give kids real Self Regulation and Functional Breathing skills for use in all areas of their life. Born from 15+ years of Watermanship Education and integrating the very latest in scientific learning, our Aquatic Resilience program uses the power of water to build Functional Resilience, improve general aquatic skill sets and unleash the wonder within!!! This program is for anyone child who wants to improve Resilience using water as a challenging element. Developed by highly experienced Watermen, Waterwomen, Emergency First Responders, Athletic Trainers and Mental Health Professionals. Some of the topics we cover in this program include: - Zones of Stress & Nervous System Regulation - Dynamic Panic and Fear Management - Functional Breathing and Emotion Regulation - Breath Hold and Apnea - Survival Swimming Patterns - Black Out Rescue - Aquatic Preparedness and Survival **This program requires a minimum number of 4 participants to run.
